Time On Q*tet

London, UK

Time On is a quartet or quintet proposing an electrifying blend of jazz standards and post-bop originals. They also hack pop tunes into new directions marked by the group’s sophisticated sound and imaginative improvisation.

 

Formed in 2023 and led by Paolo on saxophones and flute, the core quartet comprises exceptionally talented musicians: Tom Gray on piano, Paul Southern on bass, and Dom Metz on drums.

 

In their performances, Time On often features artists from the London and international music scene, such as Steve Waterman on trumpet, expanding the band to a quintet and guaranteeing an exciting and ever-changing performance.

Edoardo Bignozzi Trio

Italy/UK/Spain

The trio is led by Italian guitarist and composer Edoardo Bignozzi, with Paolo Muraro on saxophones and flute and Eric Ford or Tommy Caggiani on drums. Their music prominently features Edoardo’s evocative compositions, fusing jazz and new age sonorities. In the repertoire are also tunes by Ralph Towner and reinterpreted jazz standards.

minor Thoughts Q*tet

Washington, DC, USA

minor Thoughts, a Washington, D.C. based quartet/quintet playing hard bop and  post-bop jazz, was formed in 2003 and originally fronted by Paolo Muraro. The band performed across D.C., Maryland and Northern Virginia at venues including Twins Jazz, Takoma Station Tavern, St. Luke's Jazz in the Garden and the National Gallery of Art.

 

Lineup: Paolo Muraro, tenor /soprano sax and flute, Jeff Suzda, baritone and alto saxophones (2003-06), Joey Whitney tenor sax (2006-), Jerome Meltzer piano, Dan Griffin bass, Gary Hacker drums.
